Edward (Ned) Babb was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Virginia and the University of Tennessee College of Law, he began practicing with the firm in 1989. His practice consists primarily of general litigation with a focus on representing insurance companies, their insureds, and large corporations. He has successfully tried cases on behalf of his clients across the state of Tennessee in both state and federal courts involving numerous areas of the law, including automobile liability, products liability, premises liability, professional liability, insurance coverage, and workers' compensation, as well as involving business and contract disputes.
Mr. Babb is an AV preeminent peer-review rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been honored by his peers by being named one of the best attorneys in Knoxville in the areas of automobile law, insurance law, motorcycle law, and consumer protection law.
Mr. Babb has argued cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit involving insurance coverage, workers' compensation, social hosts/dram shop liability, fire loss, and civil rights.
